Deep one-sided green drum with indent probably to accommodate a thigh or forearm. Braid edging and velvet studded padding on indent. Skin is tight and intact. Could be used as a large bodhran, although it has no beater. Not particularly old, and probably African. Diameter 16 inches, depth 5½ inches.
