£85
A flat-backed practice violin from Czechoslovakia, dating from the 1910s or 20s. These instruments were usually sold trademarked "Violinda" although the name is not marked on this one. They were produced for quiet practice and not for tone, hence the very shallow body. Three out of its four strings are gut, and possibly the original ones, and for this reason I have left them on. It has a red finish on the front, and machine head tuners.
