A simple system clarinet, probably B flat, made from bakelite or some other contemporary synthetic. Pads and keys appear to be in good order, though as always with an instrument of this age, an overhaul would improve them. There is no maker's name visible but I would guess that it dates from around 1910 to 1920. There is no mouthpiece with this clarinet. The length of this instrument is 22 inches from bell to top of barrel, and suggests that this is not at concert pitch. It does play well however.
